Hop-up Kits for Inline Skates

  If you spend money on good blades, you may get better spacers and axles (wheel bolts) already supplied. But make sure, and ask. In most cases though, a hop-up kit should be in your inventory. Why, you may ask? Because hop-up axle kits and spacers reduce bearing and frame wear while they improve speed. Most blades come with cheap plastic spacers or inferior axles that crack and wear out quickly. Hop-up kits come with metal parts made from very light materials and are usually guaranteed for life (pictured at right). They are a necessary investment for better skating.
